Selina Han

Senior of the Week 11/2 - 11/6

Selina Han

Selina Han is BPHS’s very own Senior of the Week for the week of November 2 – 6. While she was not aware anybody had nominated her, she now knows one of the people who nominated her was her best friend Yareli.

Han was nominated for her outstanding academic achievement and her heavy participation and leadership roles in school clubs. She is the “Mama Seal,” a.k.a. President of Key Club, and Treasurer of the Gay Straight Alliance Club. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and the California Scholarship Foundation.

“I like to draw, sleep, and hang out with my sister or Yareli,” she responded when asked what she likes to do during her free time.

Han has taken a total of 10 AP classes during the course of her high school career, is currently taking five. She worked arduously throughout her four years attending BPHS and is in the top 5% of her class. While she hopes to be accepted into one of the UCs, USC and UCLA are tied for her first choice.

“I’ve made the best of it and met some of the most amazing people ever who I’ll really miss in the future,” said Han when describing her high school experience.

She has not only managed a rigorous academic schedule, leadership responsibilities for various clubs, and has still made time to create many great memories with her friends. These noteworthy achievements are what earned her the role of Senior of the Week.

Just share it.
