Bouncing Back into Action

Basketball is back. After the exciting 2015-16 season, many people can’t wait to see what happens this season.

This offseason brought many changes with free agent signings and retirements. The Golden State Warriors made the biggest splash by signing the top free agent, Kevin Durant. Durant was previously with the OKC Thunder and had a great career. However he was not able to win a championship there, which led him to sign with the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors are coming off a bittersweet season, with the best regular season ever in NBA, but did not end with a championship. As for the Cleveland Cavaliers, their storybook season finally ended the curse in Cleveland as they won their first championship.

In Los Angeles, the Lakers have a lot of young talent who are hopeful for a great future and they hired Luke Walton as their new head coach. Hiring Walton brings great energy to a young and talented team that looks to grow to a playoff team. On the other hand, the Clippers are looking to win a playoff series and get to the conference championship. The Clippers have had good regular seasons that put them in a good playoff seed, but their play does not transfer to the playoffs as they have never reached the conference championship.

The NBA Finals are in June. This year the favorites to compete for a championship are the Warriors and Cavaliers. This rematch would be an amazing showcase of talent because of all the star power both teams have. The NBA is an unpredictable league so even though the Warriors and Cavaliers are the favorites, do not be surprised if they do not make it to the finals.

Just share it.
