Kobe Bryant’s Last Season

The NBA basketball star Kobe Bryant started playing for the Lakers in 1996 right after he finished high school where he played shooting guard and small forward. With inspiration from his father Joe Bryant, a former NBA player, Kobe was an outstanding player. Basketball has been his only career. Throughout his years of playing basketball, he won five NBA championships. Kobe is a 15-time member of the NBA team, a 12-time member of the All-Defensive team, and an 18-time All-Star. His start up was so outstanding that by his second season he was named an All-Star player.

As many of you might know, the soon to be former basketball player is hanging up his jersey. This season of basketball is unfortunately Kobe’s last season. As he started his 20th season with the Lakers he announced that he is retiring after this season. Kobe wrote a book called “Dear Basketball.” In the book he wrote, “This season is all I have left to give. My heart can take the pounding. My mind can handle the grind but my body knows it’s time to say goodbye.” In the month of November, Kobe announced that he planned to retire after this season.
