It’s Raining Niños!

These past rainy days have many students making jokes about El Niño. What is El Niño? Not a boy. El Niño is a heavy rain that can last from weeks to months that comes every two to seven years.

A past student named Darla Sanchez, who attended Baldwin Park High School, experienced El Niño back in 1997. Her experience was awful and she, “Hated the cold, nonstop rain that lasted months.”

On the other hand, many other students enjoyed the rain at the time. During the month of February, which is her birthday month, her friends gave her a giant card saying, “Happy Birthday” and jokes about El Niño, ruining the card. She is not excited, but believes El Niño is coming and she is ready.

Just share it.
