HO HO HO!: It’s Breakfast Time

This past Saturday, December 5, 2015 was Baldwin Park’s yearly Breakfast with Santa at the Julia McNeill Senior Center. The event was held between 8 A.M. to 11 A.M. and offered breakfast, photos with Santa, and arts and crafts. The prices for breakfast were $2.50 for children ages 5 to 12 and $3.50 for adults ages 13 and older. The breakfast offered pancakes, eggs, sausage and milk, juice or coffee. There were pictures with Santa for $3 and arts and crafts were offered in Santa’s Workshop. There was also free photos with Frosty the Snowman at Santa’s Workshop. The arts and crafts that were offered were completely free for children.

At 9 A.M. a long line to enter the eating area could be seen. Children seemed ecstatic and parents were happy to see their children jump with joy. The wait to enter the eating area was not long, guests were swiftly directed to their seats. Although event coordinators seemed overwhelmed, they kept their cool while trying to serve the large crowd in a timely fashion.

After eating, there were various activities offered to everyone. The gymnasium offered free arts and crafts for children of all ages. In this room there was a festive Christmas tree was on display with a snowman standing in front of it and people taking pictures with him. In a different room Saint Nick himself sat in a chair taking photos with children. Once photos were taken, parents had different package options and had a short wait to receive their photos.

It’s marvelous to see the community organize such a spectacular event for children, youth, and adults of the Baldwin Park community.

Just share it.
