Braves Capture the Rowland Raiders

On January 18th the BPHS boys varsity soccer team played against Rowland High, and to no surprise the Braves took the win, ending the game with a total score of 3-0. Coaches were ecstatic about winning yet another game in the season and BP is excited to see what the future holds for the team.

The battle between Rowland High was on, and junior Alejandro Ochoa scored the first goal only 11 minutes into the game. With coaches and the crowd cheering on the boys, the tiring game continued. Players sped across the field and Angel Cardenas made the second goal of the night against the Raiders. With 10 minutes left in the first half, both teams were making the effort to score another goal. Senior Ceaser Garcia, made the last goal of the half, as well as for the night.

The second half of the game was uneventful. Although the score didn’t change, the boys continued to give it their all. Senior Carlos Garcia commented on the game and stated, “Even though I couldn’t play tonight, I still really like coming to watch and support these guys.” With an overall score of 3 goals,  coaches were proud of the accomplishment the varsity team carried out and cannot wait to see what the end of the season will bring.
