The Braves will face off against Austin Tamagno and the rest of the championship Brea Olinda team at CIF SS Finals on the world-famous Mt. SAC course. Despite the respiratory difficulties caused by the constant presence of dirt in the air, the Braves managed to outperform the competition including Palos Verdes, which was the higher ranked team at the beginning of the season.

The girl’s team demonstrated strong pack running with a 19th team finish. The top five girls crossed the finish line within 20 places of each other but were unable to score low enough to qualify for CIF Finals. However, they did improve upon last year’s team time by three minutes.

The girl’s team was led by Dyanne Contreras who finished with a time of 21:14. Brianna Lopez and Keren Gonzalez both finished at 21:37 and were followed by Katherine Lombard with a time of 21:53. Christina Lopez rounded off the top five with a time of 21:57. Karla de Loera and Lizette Mendez crossed the finish line at 21:59 and 22:00, respectively.
