The Lego Batman Movie is an action-packed movie that tells the story of Batman from a different point of view. Batman teams up with multiple characters to try to stop Joker from destroying Gotham City.
Rotten Tomatoes gives the movie a 91%, as they describe the movie, “The Lego Batman Movie continues its block-buster franchise’s winning streak with another round of dizzyingly funny — and beautifully animated — family-friendly mayhem.”
Will Arnett plays the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Arnett was able to perfect the Batman voice. In addition, the perfection of the voice allowed the audience to connect more with Batman. Batman finds himself going through the same cycle over the years and struggles to realize it’s because he misses his family. Arnett does a perfect voicing of Batman and allows the audience to connect with Batman with humor and sadness.
Dick Grayson, a young orphan turns into Batman’s sidekick Robin, after he finds the Batcave. Michael Cera voices Robin and gives the audience a connection why he admires Batman so much. In addition, Robin shares the loneliness Batman feels because they both lost their family at a young age.
There was many laughable moments during the movie. One of my favorite moments was when Batman was going through his closet and saw all of the different types of costumes. Also, a touching moment was when Robin got Batman to realize he now has a family
The movie provided a great amount of background information on Batman’s past in the beginning, allowed the audience to build a quick connection with Batman himself. Overall, the movie relates to all Batman fans, and will make everyone laugh. The Batman film was fantastic and I will get the film a 5/5 stars.
