Yup. It’s that time of the year again. It’s the time of the year where seniors get to have loads of fun, while the underclass men are stuck in class. It is the last week of school and seniors are all done with finals. They are done, and they get to enjoy the last week of their high school careers being hypnotized, being recognized, having fun at Grad Nite, and last but not least, the graduation ceremony they waited four years to be a part of.
Senior excursion is the very first event on the list. ASB chose the location of Dave and Busters for the excursion. A minimal amount of seniors decided to actually pay the fees to attend the excursion because many did not feel the price was worth paying for. Although many seniors opted-out of the excursion, they are then required to attend their classes. The administration announced that seniors who decide to ditch in large groups and are caught will not walk in the graduation ceremony, and they will be excluded from the rest of the senior activities.
The first graduation practice and the senior recognition ceremony are on Tuesday, May 31. Tuesday morning is the first practice, and that same afternoon, seniors will be recognized for their academic achievements with certificates, scholarship winners are announced, various awards are handed out, etc.
Grad Nite, the night everybody looks forward to is on Wednesday, June 1. It is the day right before graduation. What a way to end off the last year of high school, right? Seniors take off in the afternoon after their last graduation practice, and return from Disneyland at dawn the next morning, June 2.
June 2 is D-day. The day where it all ends. Four years worth of early mornings and late night. Seniors come back to school in the evening in their caps and gowns, and they attend their very own graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony is on June 2, and the last event on the list.
June 2 at 5:30 P.M., beginning of the end.
